Remember Her Name

Happy Music Monday, sturdy women! Mondays often demand extra motivation and my go-to source is usually a good song. Pop on some headphones and celebrate yourself with a one-woman dance party, whatever that looks like for you today!

This week I’m putting a little extra pep in my step with Mickey Guyton’s new song Remember Her Name. I’m not usually a country music fan, but it popped up in my YouTube feed and the title drew me in. I’m so grateful I clicked! Living with lipedema is a daily battle but Mickey’s words remind me that fierce, strong women are inside all of us. The only thing we have to do is look in the mirror and see – really see – who we’ve always been.

where did you lose the girl with no fear

oh, she never left

take a good look, she’s right in the mirror

don’t let yourself forget

Mickey Guyton, “Remember Her Name”

I’m not crying… you’re crying!

Comment below to share what the song means to you on your lippy journey or suggest another motivational song you’d like to see featured on an upcoming Music Monday.

What gets you moving and keeps you smiling?
